Lassen-Clapper Murder Site Interpretive Kit

Information highlights the investigation of the murder mystery and how modern science worked to identify remains found at the site. Activities include: History Mystery Detective – A faux newspaper has been created for students to read and learn about the murder. The document includes background in the case, the key players involved, the suspects and professions involved in the case. A crossword puzzle, word search, and detective badge are included. Every student receives their own copy of the newspaper to take home. A detective kit is included, as well as an investigative report. Students are challenged to explore history for answers while simultaneously learning about career opportunities. Forensic Anthropology Lesson Plan – Students learn about the field of forensic anthropology and techniques used in the field.
